How I Lost 20 Pounds In 3 Months The SureSlim Way

I always get asked these past few days whenever I tweet food photos and tell people I’m on a diet. So, here I am blogging about how I lost 20 pounds! And reveal to you my secret on how I lost a few pounds WITHOUT EXERCISING.

I’m currently under the SureSlim program. SureSlim is the only medically-based weight loss program targeted at correcting your metabolism for a permanent weight control. Their tagline is “It’s not YOU, it’s your METABOLISM.”

So how it goes? I had my comprehensive blood test and they gave me a menu planner based on the result. Just to be clear, this is NOT the diet based on blood type. This is based on scientific research (blood test result sent to their South Africa headquarter). 

The types of foods and portion controls that have been identified for me have been developed to stimulate my body’s production of Growth Hormone. This breaks down loose fat, improves skin elasticity and increases body’s secretion of Serotonin. This naturally reduces excessive hunger and induces a remarkable sense of wellbeing. 

It is proven to be effective! I myself can attest to that! I just started last November 26 and already I lost 1.35kg (or 2.97 pounds)… only one week into the program! I have to lose a total of 7kg (15.4 pounds) to reach my target weight (I’m not overweight ha based on my BMI, I just want to be slimmer). Update: I already lost 20 pounds after finishing my program in 3 months!

My program is that of the Quick Loss one, therefore I have to finish the program in 3 months. But I was told by my SureSlim consultant that with the rate I’m going, I could reach my target in a month! YAY! Actually ngayon pa lang, lumuwag na iba kong pants! 🙂

And here’s the best part… SureSlim WILL NOT STARVE YOU! With SureSlim they treat food as medicine in such a way that it lets food to cure you and your metabolism. I eat like a normal person does – breakfast, lunch and dinner. The only difference is that I have to abide by their menu planner and all my food have to be weighed (they DO NOT count calories in this program). I also can’t have snacks in between, strictly 5-hour interval per meal.

No rice! Only fruits, vegetables, chicken, fish, etc! Everything in the menu planner is locally available and can be easily bought in supermarkets and wet markets. No need for deli and specialty stores unlike other weight loss programs.

The serving is always big! In fact, I always get stressed finishing my meals! HAHA! See? Nabubusog na ako, pumapayat pa ako! My metabolism seems to be slowly doing the right thing! 😛

I just want to share my lunch a while ago in school. Since I have to eat at 1PM, and my class starts 12:30, I munched on my hard boiled egg and crackers quietly inside the classroom! LOL! I have no choice! I’m really strict on my time interval, kahit na saan pa ako sinusunod ko talaga! HAHA. I guess it all boils down to discipline.

But of course, I’m also tempted once in a while. Like when my officemate gave me Lindt chocolates! Isa lang nakain ko! Biglang nawala sa bahay! Ohwell!

And that company Christmas party last Sunday. Thankfully, I’m allowed to cheat on social occasions. And it was worth the guilt, the cream puffs were oh-so-heavenly! 🙂

My second week of official weigh in is this coming Wednesday! I only cheated once this week, but yeah, hopefully I still lost more weight by then. *fingers crossed* Eventually I plan to partner my diet with exercise. I’m thinking of enrolling in Slimmer’s World (there’s a branch just a few floors below my office).. I hope my work and grad school schedule would permit me.
