DAY 3
Since our flight was around 2pm and we had to be at the airport by 11am, we didn’t have enough time to wander around the city anymore. We just ate light breakfast at the Coffee Club then went back to the hotel to pack our things.

Alfresco dining at the Coffee Club! Loved the laid back vibe in here!
The food were also delicious! No wonder Coffee Club has so many branches all over Singapore! :)

View from our table at the corner. Back to normal for most Singapore people because holiday was over that day. See the morning traffic rush?
By 11 in the morning, we were in Changi Airport already.
Didn’t have time to take photos around the ever beautiful Changi airport anymore! We were so busy claiming our GST refund (one of the reasons why I love shopping in Singapore! We tourists get our tax back!) and of course, busy shopping around for more pasalubong. And how lucky for us ‘coz some shops in Changi were offering double tax discount (err or something like that?) on the week that we went there! Thank you, shopping gods, for hearing my prayers for more discounts! (ehh ilang beses ko na-mention ang “shopping” at “shop”?? Kaloka!)
We were so preoccupied looking around the different stores in Changi that we almost missed our flight! CRAAAAZY, I KNOOW! But ohwell, gorabels.. uwing uwi na ako sa Pilipinas by that time!! :)
Remember how I loved my airline meal in this post? Well, on the way back to Manila my lunch tasted blaaah! The meat was so hard! :(
On the other hand, my sister’s fish fillet tasted awesome! I should have chosen that one instead! I hope Singapore Airlines would be more consistent next time.
But hey, at least they gave us some sweet treats! <3

Mine was tiramisu flavor! Savored this ice cream while watching Mirror Mirror. Wasn’t able to finish the movie though, paiba-iba ako nang gustong panuorin. Haha :P
And that ends our SG trip! I love my siblings so much and traveling with them is always memorable. Now that we are all young adults it’s so hard to find time to bond, so opportunities like this should never be taken for granted.
SG haul post next!!! WAIT.FOR.IT! <3

And my photodump continues… hahaha! Sorry regular programming will be back after all these long overdue SG posts, I promise. Okay, let us start. :)
It was a public holiday in Singapore when we visited Universal Studios that day… so, obviously the theme park was full of people!
Good thing we bought our tickets online and also availed of the Universal Express Pass! The express pass was a bit costly, but time was more valuable to us than money at that moment. ‘Coz of that, we didn’t have to line up most of the time, unlike those with regular pass (who had to wait 30-40 minutes in line per ride, YES crazy right?), so we enjoyed more rides!!! And by around 3:30 in the afternoon we already tried every fun and freaky ride there is!
There are 7 main zones in USS namely, Hollywood, New York, Sci-Fi City, Ancient Egypt, The Lost World, Far Far Away, and Madagascar. We were fortunate that all rides and attractions were already open that time (as far as I know).
Me and my brother at the Universal Studios Store along Hollywood Boulevard.

Helloooo New York!!!!!
Don’t miss the Lights, Camera, Action in this area. You’ll be blown away with the special effects used in Hollywood movies!
New York Public Library. One day I will get to visit you for reaaalz. Heehee! :P
Next stop was the Sci-Fi City! This is the place to be for the adventurous folks! Wild rides can be found here. Yes, I’m talking about you Battlestar Galactica, you’re one hella crazy roller-coaster ride!!!
There are two types — the Cylon (blue track) vs Human (red track). I dare say the blue one was more daring!!! There’s no platform for our feet so yes, our feet were suspended in the air the whole ride!
Spot my brother in the photo… excited sumigaw, hindi pa masyado gumagalaw nyan! HAHAHA!!!
Photo op with the huge Optimus Prime along Sci-Fi City! We also enjoyed the Transformers the Ride: The Ultimate 3D Battle. There was still the adrenaline rush factor, but I won’t spoil and tell you what it was. It will take the suspense away. ;)
Then we walked to the Ancient Egypt area next…
Main attraction here is the Revenge of the Mummy, an indoor roller-coaster ride. This is a must try!!! Also one of my faves, along with Galactica!!!
By the time we were done with the Revenge of the Mummy ride, it was already lunch time. The nearest dining place in the area was the Oasis Spice Cafe, so we went in.
This Egyptian-themed restaurant specializes in Middle Eastern food.
After lunch, it was The Lost World that we passed by next.
Prepare to get wet in the Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure! After getting wet, dry up yourself by riding the Canopy Flyer — and get a bird’s eye view of the park while you’re at it. Both rides were fun! We weren’t able to witness the live water show in the Water World because we missed the schedule. :(
Anyway, next zone was the Far Far Away!!

Thank you to the kind stranger who took this photo of us. Lumuhod pa siya just to get a good angle of the castle! Award! :D Don’t miss the Shrek 4-D Adventure here. See, hear and feel the action/adventure of Shrek!
Then we went to the Madagascar area.
The main attraction here is the Madagascar: A Crate Adventure. It’s a river boat ride (don’t worry you won’t get wet here) wherein you’ll see the main characters of Madagascar — Alex, Marty, Melman and Gloria.
Then back to Hollywood Boulevard after that! Yay, naikot na namin! Whew! Kapagod! :P
My sister at the Hollywood Boulevard.
Garrett popcorn for afternoon snacks! YUMMEEH! :P
Happy kids after a loooong and tiring yet fun day in the theme park! :)
DAY 3 next! <3

DAY 2
We started our day with breakfast at Rocky Master, a small coffee shop just walking distance from our hotel. Was surprised to see that the cashier, waiters and waitresses are all Filipinos! Anyway, all our orders were delicious. I love my kaya toast! <3
Then we went to Universal Studios!
Will post a separate blog entry for the USS photos! :)
Sana ang mga taxi natin dito tipong Chrysler-level! Chos! We also rode a cab na Mercedez Benz lang naman. :P
After resting for a while back in the hotel (pagod level after USS, pero go lang ng gooo), we then went where the Singapore Flyer is!

Ferris wheel-like ride that takes about 30 minutes to fully rotate! You’ll feel like you’re on top of the world! And here are some aerial shots of the city while we were inside the Singapore Flyer…

After a while, nakaka-inip na sa loob! Haha! We had dinner afterwards at Marina Bay Sands.
We tried this restaurant called High Society. Their service sucks BIG TIME! Please avoid this overpriced restaurant at all cost!!! They made us wait for an inconsiderate amount of time! And to make matters worse, when my sister asked for a follow up and calmly said that if our orders are not served in 5 minutes, we will leave without paying… our orders then magically appeared out of the kitchen! My brother’s steak (not in the photos) still took a few more minutes to be served. Our total bill was around S$160 (roughly Php5000+) and this was the service we got. Haay crappy service!!
But ohwell, we didn’t let that ruin our night. Since the night was still young, we went around some more…

We dropped by Kudeta Bar in Marina Bay Sands but it was too crowded.
We found a more relaxed bar called Catalunya which recently just opened in The Fullerton Pavilion on the waters of Marina Bay. Super loved our signature cocktails!!! <3
Brother, me and sister enjoying our cocktails. Wish I can still remember the names of our drinks but alcohol kicked in and made me forget to remember. Shhss sorry! :P
Did I mention we were on the rooftop of the bar? And we were the only ones there!!! Kung may boom box lang kami, instant party party na! HAHA! But instead we just played soft music via my brother’s phone and enjoyed the view of Marina Bay. Tamang emo-emohan lang! ;)
Cheers to cap off the looong day! ;)
That ends DAY 2! Whewww! Daming ganap! USS photos and DAY 3 to be posted next. <3
