Review: Elf Luscious Liquid Lipstick

Hello! Here’s part 2 of 3 of my ELF Review Series (part 1 here)! Sorry it took me awhile to post this but here it is… yay!

Some product shots…

I got this ELF Luscious Lipstick in red shade and it is enclosed in this twist type of pen packaging.

Initial or first application requires you to twist the bottom part of the packaging 10-12 times! But only 2-3 twists for succeeding applications. The above picture shows how the sponge applicator looks like when the lip product is released.

Here’s the swatch with no flash and only natural lighting. It’s quite sheer on first swipe and the finish is kind of a lip gloss.

Here’s me (or rather my lips) with the Elf Luscious Liquid Lipstick on! In the tube the shade seems to scream BOLD RED (or blood-ish red, if you may)… but when applied, it’s actually this cute pinkish red shade (on my lips, at least… maybe it will depend on your natural lip color).

At the back of the packaging, it says this product:
- gives long lasting color and shine
- hydrates, conditions and softens on contact
- soothes and smooths lips.

The verdict? Yes, it stays on my lips for a considerable amount of time even after eating and drinking. I not only find this liquid lipstick hydrating but also cooling on the lips too! Parang may menthol sa lips ko, sarap ng feeling! And it has this vanilla scent if I’m not mistaken. However, it can be quite messy to twist at times, and it’s not like you can untwist it for the product to go back to the tube. So I suggest be very careful when twisting and releasing the liquid lipstick. But overall, I really love this product! It’s like a hybrid of lip gloss, lipstick and lip balm. Three products in one = WINNER!

Has anyone of you tried this one already? Or a similar product? How did it go for you? :)
