Dress Me Up Buttercup

I recently treated my mom to an afternoon sesh at a nail spa. Yes, Mother’s Day may have long been over, but spoiling my mom is a never ending thing for me. So when we happened to be in the new Greenhills Town Center (not to be mistaken with Greenhills Shopping Center) along Granada Street in Quezon City, I discovered this nail spa called Glamorous. Let me give you a rundown of this fairly new nail salon which opened just this January 2012. 

Very limited in space, this nail salon can only accommodate five persons at a time. Luckily, my mom and I were able to snag seats right away! :) I love the brown and orange combination of colors… yes, it may not be the most relaxing colors for a nail salon, but meeh, I’m partial to orange and brown so me likey! They have the latest local and foreign magazines as well (but oops, that Lucky mag is April ‘12 pala but I read it anyway). 

Their equipment are sterilized for hygienic purposes. The photo on the right is my feet being soaked in this foot spa machine. My mom and I availed of the Spa Pedicure service (Php 370) in which feet are exfoliated, massaged (legs and feet), then capped off with, of course, pedicure. 

They only use imported brands like Sally Hansen, Orly, Sparitual, and OPI nail polishes. Even their base coats and top coats are from those brands. If you fancy nail arts, they have the Konad stamping nail art kits.

My mom’s choice for her toenails — Orly in Hot Chocolate! It has this reddish brown hue that my mom absolutely love.  

And here’s mine — Sally Hansen in Commander in Chic! It borders gray and violet colors. 

I can see myself coming back to this nail salon soon! The staffs are all very accommodating and friendly. When my mom said to me she was feeling cold because of the air-con, a nail technician overheard her and offered her a towel right away to cover and warm her up. Sweet! But what I just didn’t like is the back massage that comes with our spa pedicure package. It seems that I never learn from my past experiences wherein I don’t voice out if the massage is too light or too hard for my taste… I just, uhm, keep quiet. This one has been too hard! My POOR BACK! Haha.

Anyway, aside from the nail services they also offer the following: waxing and threading; head, neck and shoulder massage; and foot and leg massage.
